Duck Fat Roast Turkey

The secret to the delectably moist and flavorful roasted turkey is the duck fat.

You may need to source the duck fat from a specialty food store, but this mouth-watering recipe for duck fat roasted turkey is one that everyone will ask for, and it follows the Paleo and Gluten-free guidelines.


  • 1 tbsp duck fat
  • 13-15 lb whole Turkey
  • 1 tbsp Salt and Pepper
  • 2 cups pork sage sausage stuffing or your favorite stuffing


  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Wash, dry, and place turkey in a roasting pan.
  3. Season turkey with salt and pepper, including the body cavity.
  4. Stuff turkey with the stuffing mix.
  5. Rub turkey with duck fat all around.
  6. Tuck wings under the breast, and tie the legs together with kitchen twine.
  7. Tent turkey with aluminum foil, and place in the oven.
  8. Roast turkey 20 minutes per pound at 325 degrees, this will be about 5 hours for a 15 lb turkey.
  9.  Let the Turkey rest for approximately 15 to 20 minutes before carving.
